Our values are biblically based principles that we use to guide and direct the ministries at Bethany Chapel.  They are not simply what we do but define who we are.  They function as accountability guideposts.   These values direct our ministries and interpret our efforts. 

PRAYER:  reliance on God in everything we do, stressing and practicing prayer.

WORSHIP:  exalts, honours and praises God through encouraging a lifestyle of meaningful personal and corporate worship including our time, energy and resources.

TEACH AND PROCLAIM GOD'S WORD:  faithfully and relevantly proclaims, teaches and applies God’s word to all areas of our lives.

ENCOURAGES RELATIONSHIPS:  encourages and promotes a network of significant relationships through which the entire body is nurtured and equipped for effective spiritual life and impact.

GROWS SPIRITUALLY:  encourages and challenges every believer to increasingly know Jesus Christ and practice daily dependence on the Holy Spirit so that we become more Christ like.

DEVELOPS PEOPLE INTO DISCIPLE-MAKERS:  recognizes and values the diversity and spiritual giftedness of all God’s people and equips each one to do God’s work in the church and in the world.

RELATES TO OUR WORLD:  recognizes the need to be both biblically true and culturally relevant in our community so as to fulfill the great commission.

REACHES OUR WORLD:  recognizes and responds to the spiritual, physical, and social needs of our community and world with the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.

SUPPORTS THE FAMILY:  understands and receives the broken family structures of our world while upholding and encouraging God’s model of the family and the sanctity of life.
